    Montana pref points heads up, don't be like me.

    If you don't apply in 2023 you will lose your preference points. The new rule can be read as every other year, but is being enforced as every year to not lose preference points. I learned the hard way. The way I understand it bonus points don't expire and there is no maximum.

    I could be wrong on this, but I think you can apply in 22 for a low odds permit and request an 80% refund if not drawn to keep your points. Will cost a couple hundred bucks this way though.
