    THE Perfect hunting arrow

Went RW 4-fletch with my own wild turkey 3” shield fletching. Lots of field testing this fall, they stood up to rain, snow, and sleet up here in Canada. The total arrow weight is 555grains. The point/insert/collar weight is 200 grains. Shooting nockturnal nocks…easton axis trad 340’s. 31”...

Insert Issue with Easton Axis arrows

You are wrong. The Aron guy said right in his video he uses a .204 and was using Bills HIT inserts and gluing them like I do. Going to stop replying now. Said all I need to say. I wish everyone good hunts in the future. Be safe out there. Thanks for everyone who replied, it was a great...

Insert Issue with Easton Axis arrows

I went to my local range and youth league was getting over and I always look at peoples arrows and most the youths had axis arrows with no footers. Sorry it was just my own observations. Seen children shooting them at the range like that for indoor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Iron Will System?

One thing I found when tuning that may help you. In the process of shaft/point selection I found that adding the additional 25 grains of weight to your field tip will have the same effect when you add the collar. So for my bareshaft I knew I will be using a 250 grain BH. I used a 275 grain...

Your collars are a game changer. Made all my arrows better. Thanks Bill. Will be using your components on all my hunting axis arrows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice to know I was not alone in my need to beef up axis arrows. I’ll happily buy collars and direct bond for a performance upgrade. If stock works for you and you like shooting the same arrow set up that a child would have then go ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you direct bond them the way I do then any point or BH will work. The only downside is you have your point attached and its not as easy as unscrewing and attaching another point/BH. If you have dedicated hunting arrows and seperate arrows for practice then this system works well. I match...

    New Iron Will System?

Made a thread detailing this exact problem with the HIT system and how to fix it and made a video. Its still up. Basically this new system is just what I cover in detail in the video. Everyone thought I was crazy in the other thread. This new system is exactly my method for attachment. Hope...

Insert Issue with Easton Axis arrows

My hunting arrows are only shot to tune and then at game animals. Never had any problems with inserts slipping or coming loose with 3M hot melt. Never had any of my bareshafts come loose either and I shoot in the cold and the summer high humid heat. Thats my experience only though, what works...

THIS! I had the exact thing happen but with a zwickey broadhead. The threads snapped off in the insert. It isnt like every shot I took it exploded like this. But if theres even a slight chance of it happening I want ti eliminate it. Thanks for posting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never said I used hot melt with no collar... please read. I use the hot melt with the impact collar and once the insert is direct bonded to my broad head. No issues yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Insert Issue with Easton Axis arrows

Right now, my bow has a set of day six 250’s, 300 axis, 300 easton 6.5mm, and those trad axis arrows were tuned to my older longbow. Those are 400. I have a different configuration for what ever I am hunting. Maybe I’m just a mad man, but I classify my arrows into 5 different categories for...

Big game Canadian hunter. Me and my cronies get moose and elk annually. Just want to be efficient and not have arrows explode inside a large animal due to a bone hit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
