Sold Vortex Razor HD 16-48x65 Straight

The zippers on the soft case broke after about the 3rd use. I might still have it lying around, but I think I tossed it. It’s possible Vortex would replace it as part of their warranty. I have stored it in a Cabela’s padded case that I planned to include in the sale. No noticeable scratches in...

    Annealer

Has anyone tried the anneal-rite or the AGS?

    Annealer

I’d like to start annealing my brass. What kind of annealer is everyone using, and how do you like it? Or do some use homemade devices that work well. Looking for opinions before I shell out $ on a machine.

    WTS Vortex HS-T 6-24x50

$475 PP GS + shipping I purchased the scope new, used it for part of a season, and then removed it and put it back into the box. Works fine, just wasn’t a fan of how it fit with my hunting rifle. Comes with original box, lens cover, and sun shield. MOA reticle.

Novice hunter looking for guidance and Pronghorn advice

Antelope also don’t suffer from CWD, so, at least here, there isn’t any problem with disposing of the carcass after the meat is removed. Agree with above that a 45 or 65 quart cooler is big enough to hold a full sized goat. They are surprisingly small. Normally I think high priced coolers aren’t...

    Nontraditional antelope tactics

Antelope are very curious and I’ve seen them act very randomly on occasion. If I have a herd that looks like they are going to spook and run away, I’ve tried making noise or quickly getting back into my vehicle and driving away. It doesn’t work often, but sometimes the lead doe or buck will get...

Novice hunter looking for guidance and Pronghorn advice

No matter where you go hunt, make sure you bring plenty of ice and some coolers for the meat. Antelope are normally shot in warmer weather than deer or elk and have coats adapted incredibly well to holding in heat. I think poor cooling techniques lead to many people thinking the meat tastes bad...

    Hunting with older dogs

I’ve used the e-collars with beepers and trained my dogs to come if they hear the beep. It isn’t something that I use often, but has come in handy a few times with both young dogs (porcupines, excitement) and old dogs (hearing issues).

    Hammer Loading

I’m I didn’t ever think that was a blanket recommendation, only something to consider on cartridges that are overbore but aren’t necessarily considered “magnum”, like the 270 Win or the 25-06. I’ve had good luck with CCI250s and the 270 when using Hammer bullets.
