300 WM. I can reload a 300 WM to 308/30-06 velocities if I had too. Light loads, heavy loads, and everything in between. Lot of flexibility with the 300 WM.
Any of the heavy hitters in 0.284 or 0.308, with reloading, would meet my needs.
I have a 300 WM 175 grain Edge TLR (reload) for elk.
Going back/forth between 7 mm PRC and 6.5 PRC. Considering I have a 300 WM I went with a 6.5 PRC for mule deer, WTD, pronghorn.
They offered an additional 5% off but I just wasn't feeling it. So I have ammo but no gun. I called the other store and they don't have any in stock nor anywhere else.
Went and looked at the gun. Pretty scratched up from sitting on the shelf and getting banged up from the bolts of adjacent guns.
Looks worse than my hunting rifle that I've used for 11 years.
They are going to check into options. They are going to try and get the gun NIB from...
I'm looking at the same scope. 3-15x42 MOA. Maven looks nice but agree FFP is not for me.
I've have 2 PST scopes (Gen I), Viper HD nocs, and I have Swaro nocs and spotter. So far the only warranty work in the past 11 years was on my Swaro spotter. I had condensation marks on ocular lens...
That's sucks. So far I've shot 175 grain Edge TLR in my 30-06 and 300 WM and 175 grain TA in my 30-06. Groups are all less than 1" but not 1/2 MOA stellar.
I'm picking up my 6.5 PRC today so hopefully it groups well o/w I will have to: WTS 6.5 PRC TA. LOL
