    Vasectomy

years ago knew a guy who thought he would take advantage of the day off after the early morning appt. for his vasectomy. He played a round of golf and enjoyed his "day off". When he pulled his jock down to sit and take a piss his nuts hit the water and were the size of croquet balls. LOL...

    Please help w/ Elk boots

I wear the Crispi West Rivers with good thick wool socks. Add in the Luekotape P I saw folks recommend on this site, and zero blisters. That tape is AMAZING. I also rub the boots down with Bear Grease. no leaks so far.

Me and my buddy bought a Springbar Classic Jack 140 with a Winnerwell stove this year. It sets up super easy and worked great.

    Lightest weight higher end scope

I bought a 3x12x42 S&B back in 1999 for my rifle. It has been dropped numerous times and is still amazing. The next nice rifle I buy will definitely have a S&B on it.

    What's Your Elk Hunting Weakness?

    - I absolutely hate getting up when its still dark out. - Going balls to the wall scouting on our first day in the mountains, which is usually a day before season starts. - The last weakness is probably the worst. Staring at maps for 11 months picking out all these great spots that are "only"...

    Pics of Custom Knives

You guys inspired me to seek out a custom knife for elk hunting while backpacking. Knife is from Trevor Barrett @ Barrett Knives and sheath was made by Gary Swett @ Big State Leatherworks. Couldn't be happier. Only weighs 5.8 oz. so will be perfect for a do it all knife. Handle is Padauk...

    MSR Trailshot for overnighters.

I used a trailshot last year and it worked fine. Takes longer than I like to fill up my Nalgene and bladder, so I think I'm going to try a steripen this year. I will take the trailshot again this year, but as a backup, and I'll be adding a float to the hose so that I'm not sucking up gunk off...

Any of you using Initial Ascent Pack?

I absolutely loved using my pack last fall. I had the 6k. My favorite part is the pannier system. It was great as a daypack with lots of room, plus if we would have gotten an animal down there would be no wasted trips back to our camp for packs for hauling out meat. Dennis was awesome to...

    Schmidt & Bender Reliability

I can't speak to the newer models, but I bought a Schmidt and Bender 3x12x42 back in 1999 for my 7mm STW. It has been flawless. I haven't remounted it in 20 years and it still held its zero this year when I finally went back out west after a 20 year layoff. Optically amazing and has been...
