I’m very happy with my Zamberlan boots. Comfortable right out of the box and they have stood up well to quite a bit of abuse. I think the ones I am using are the GTX.
Haven’t tried the others mentioned here but I’ve been very happy with the Kuiu bino harness. I like that the range finder pocket attaches below the binoculars, it makes it easy to get to but for me it’s more comfortable than having it on the side of the harness.
I’ve been using the final rise this season with zero complaints...Matt put together a great vest, it’s really comfortable and carries weight much better than my older filson.
Another benefit to a vest is quickly stashing dead birds. Stashing them quickly allows you to keep an eye on the covey for the next opportunity. You will be surprised how fast a covey can just vanish if your picking up each bird and trying to stash it in a pack.
