Last year I solo hunted an area in CO and I was in elk most of the season. Being my first year elk hunting and archery hunting, I made lots of mistakes but was at least lucky enough to call a bull in opening morning to 8 yards and a few more after...
Maybe give them more breeding sequence with cow estrus sounds and get it going at first light before they've bedded.
Last year I was spoiled with multiple call-ins and bulls bugling everywhere. This year I'm having to start over and find new areas as there just wasnt fresh sign where I spent...
Haha that's funny, I talked to him last year from the mountain as well. Super nice guy. I was surprised he answered when I called the support number on the app for help with a technical issue. He gave me some tips for next time after I botched an 8 yard call-in.

Yeah I'm not thrilled about that but it's 3.5 hours from my house and better than sitting at home. Just found out I would be able to go today so it's not a long term plan with tons of intel. Just an excuse to get out for a few days and see some country. Where in ID would you suggest? Obviously...

Thanks for the insight!
PM thunderstorms Sat, Sun, Mon. I think I'm gonna head up Friday through Monday and see what happens. Maybe the rain will create some active pockets after the weather breaks.
As the title suggests, is the Wyoming OTC spring bear tag good for the fall season also if unsuccessful? Can't find it in the regs but I thought I had read that somewhere. DNR is closed on the weekend...
Thanks!
