    300 PRC

I just noticed sportsman’s warehouse has a pretty good sale going on them

    300 PRC

I’d have to look at CA’s website. It’s definitely on the heavier side. It’s a well built rifle in my opinion. I’ll have it rebarreled when it’s time. It really didn’t shoot factory ammunition that well so that might be something to consider. It’s probably not a bad choice if you’re not used to...

    300 PRC

Well, I have the CA Mesa long range with an amd tuner and I really like it. My brother feels it kicks less than his 300 weatherby vanguard which it might since it’s a lot heavier. It’s more like a push like the 340/338. Might be the heavier bullets I’m shooting. Hope that helps

Things to avoid in a new bow

Just don’t do what I did. Shooting a bow is incredibly fun and now my shoulder hurts lol

New bow after 25 years lol

The 14 year old neighbor boy came over and shot with me today. I blame him and his dad for getting back into it which I’m sure glad they did. I’m not sure what kind of bow he was shooting but it was pretty fast. He wasn’t really shooting that great and I noticed a few things that seemed to help...

New bow after 25 years lol

Ha, it was the arrows. Now that you mention it, funny how things have came in full circle. Tried to sell me the little carbon ones where the insert was on the outside. They had those little things back 30 years ago on the little graphite arrows. They didn’t stay on for shiat. Granted, I was...

Not sure what I’m doing wrong here lately, it’s my very first time using a peep sight and it’s taking some adjustment lol.

New bow after 25 years lol

I hear ya. I keep thinking I need to let my shoulders heal up a bit but I keep going out and shooting lol. My groups today were pretty bad lol. I’ve been leaving the quiver on which isn’t helping but I really want to strengthen quickly. Problem is I’m old lol, doesn’t work like it did 30 years ago

New bow after 25 years lol

I’ve been shooting the crap out of mine. Really enjoying it. Still a little wobbly from being out of shape but keeping them inside 6” @ 60 unless I screw up. Really helps being able to shoot at home. Ended up buying a new release , hog something or other. Doesn’t help my wobble but the purple...

    Shocking experience

That’s crazy! I cut timber for 20 years in western Washington and never experienced anything like that but I worked with a couple old timers that didn’t want anything to do with lightning storms. It’s weird how it strips the bark on trees. Some breeds of trees like Doug fir it strips it straight...

Talk me out of buying a 300 PRC

I have the ca long range and really like it. It’s on the heavy side but it helps for the recoil. I’m sure the bargara is fine although I think it might be a little more difficult to re barrel. Mine didn’t shoot factory Hornady very well but it definitely does good with hand loads. I used a tuner...

New bow after 25 years lol

Thanks, Just realized my old bow was from 1987 , so 35 years! I think the most noticeable improvement they’ve made in that time is how quiet they shoot and the let off. Man, it’s like holding back nothing and my old bow at least was super loud when it was released. Will shoot it this weekend for...

New bow after 25 years lol

Been wanting to get back into archery, put some new stuff on my very old bow about 10 years ago and shot it for tiny bit but man, these new bows are so sweet. Looked around a little bit and decided to go with a Hoyt rx-5 ultra where the dealers been there for about 30 years. He said my form was...
