    Shoulder surgery

    Good to hear. Sounds like I might be hunting elk this fall with my bow again. Been two years since I’ve even shot my bow because of this damn shoulder injury.

    Just had shoulder surgery they trimmed up the labrum. Shaved the bursa did a release of joint. Also had grade 4 cartilage degeneration in there. They cleaned it up in there but I didn’t get to talk to surgeon have follow up on Monday. Anyone else had this done and return to shooting their bow

    You can eject first round and shake and dump second round out before cycling lever a gain. I never let hammer down unless I cocked it for a shot and didn’t shoot.

    Oregon Mountain Lion suggestions

    I would hunt in snow and run roads in the early morning looking for tracks just like we do for hound hunting. Then set up and do your calling or track down. I have no experience hunting with out hounds. Other than one that I called into bow range during elk season.

    One will get it done but if is a mean lion some times it’s nice to have a couple more. I have treed them with one 6 month old pup and seen where 8 mature hounds bay them up and not ever tree and that can get a little western.

    If your son is shooting get a laser pointer the red ones and you can show him exactly where to shoot sometimes the angle to vitals is hard for people to see it really helps first timers out and reduces wounded cats. We alway use one if we have it.

    Not the fmj. The largest grain bullet that is going the slowest is the one I would choose, would think some of those lighter ones would blow a big hole in the hide. We have always used a 30-30 and it knocks them dead. Make sure on the shot placement cats can be deceiving all scrunched up in a tree.
