I also need to get a shorter front sight. I shot a little yesterday and was 5” low at 50 yards and had my peep sight as high as it would go. I read somewhere that you can purchase shorter front sights. Now to find it again. I’ll post when I come across the website. Thanks for the replies.
Thank you for the reply. I received a call from Alex at Williams late yesterday and he recommended the WGRS style peep. Number 70154. He said this will mount in the rear scope base mounting hole. The Ace in the hole looks like it will also work but this wasn’t confirmed by Williams. I didn’t ask...
Hello, does Williams make a ghost ring sight that uses the rear scope base holes for mounting? I cannot find anything on their website. I called and left a message for a call back. Thanks for your help.
I got a Hells Canyon long range last year for my birthday from my children. It’s in 6.5 Creedmoor and it’s a very accurate rifle. Probably the most accurate rifle I own. It shoots bug holes with 130 gr eldm’s. I’m trying the Gamechangers now and they look promising. I wouldn’t hesitate getting...
I have a Accumark that loves 165 gr. SST’s with H4831SC. Not a hot load by any stretch but accurate. Good load for deer and antelope. I don’t think I’d use this bullet for elk though. Accubonds would always hover around 1.5” at 100. What I found out was action screw torque needed to be spot on...
As far as what you’re doing now seems to be on the right track. I don’t have a .300 but various other calibers. Just asking, but have you tried to remove the copper fouling if it has any? I just went through a situation with the action screws too tight. Just throwing out some suggestions. I’m...
I never thought with a full aluminum bedding block that it could be over tightened. I don’t know how much over but it definitely made a difference. Live and learn.
I have a stock Accumark in 30-378 that I’ve been having issues with, or so I thought. After trying different loads and finally switching scopes the accuracy never came back to where it was. This began my search for rebarreling.
This past Friday as a last gasp I decided to recheck the...
Mine shoots great with RE 19. Probably my most accurate rifle. It's a tang safety Ruger I believe I bought in the early 90's.
I actually shot a 10 shot group with it at 100 yards and all were under an inch. It ended up being one large hole in the target. I love the 85 grain BT's for groundhogs...
Could you please pm me the butchers phone number your talking about. We're coming out from penna the 3rd week of September and looking for a good butcher hopefully. Thanks again.
My sons and I are heading out for elk in September and have been searching for a meat processor near Ketchum. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your replies.
