Hornady 6.5 mm Creedmoor for bear

If I were to use a 6.5 crd again for bear, I'd use the federal fusion 140 gr. Plenty of weight and will hold together much, much better than the 143 eldx. The bear I took (picture in above post) had no exit wound and bullet fragments everywhere...

Are You Getting Bad Blood Trails with the 6.5 Creedmoor? This Is Why

I will say that I also use a 3006 and never have blood trail issues on deer with that. However, it's not as fun to shoot... Here's a nice deer taken with the '06...

Are You Getting Bad Blood Trails with the 6.5 Creedmoor? This Is Why

I really like my 6.5 Creedmoor and have killed a number of really nice deer and one big bear with it. I have used 143 gr Hornady eldx for all. All animals died ok. Poor blood trails on some. Only one exit wound. End results are good but I am no longer using these bullets. I will go with Federal...

Hornady 6.5 mm Creedmoor for bear

I took this Boone and Crocket bear weighing just under 400 lbs. 6.5 Creedmoor 143 ELDX bullet. Entry wound just behind front shoulder, no exit. Bear ran about 75 yds. Lots of blood but was coming out of mouth. Can't complain with end results but wouldn't have minded an exit wound. I think the...

Jeep Gladiator - good hunting rig?

I have had many good trucks that were good for hunting, however, the Jeep Gladiator I now have is better by far... Not even comparable as to where you can take it and still a truck to haul and ?? The best hunting vehicle in my experience...

    Jeep gladiator

I absolutely love mine! I am not a super rock crawler but have taken it places no truck should go and even tried to get it stuck and failed. Just the right size to get into and around small places, Still a truck so I can haul stuff and also use it for my daily driver and love it.
