    Bridger - One thing I think I noticed on the 357 is that if you're looking at the back face of the bag you could possibly link the top, far right tension strap to the far left tension strap to shrink the bag down. That something that could help here for day mode with the 357?

    I was thinking if I needed extra space and my 357 was full I'd put the dry bag between the full pack and the Sherman pocket. I have a cheap drybag from Amazon that's 10"x 20" that I use for my food on longer hunts.

    I have lightweight dry bags that work great on the outside of packs if I ever need more space too. These packs have so many attachment points I'll put my food in one and just strap it to the bottom of the pack, or in this case it'll probably fit behind the sherman pocket.

    Exo K2 frame with 3500 bag, medium belt, and lid in multicam. Asking $450/BO. Purchased in August 2018 and still in excellent condition. No rips, tears, heavy wear areas, or issues on the entire pack. Selling to get a pack better suited for treestand hunting.

    Good to know I'm not the only one hoping to have a do it all bag. I feel pretty comfortable being able to do 7 days with 4,000 and water available. Went with the Sherman pocket on advice from Kifaru that it was the best large pocket to use for attaching my bow. Have a little one on the way...

    If you can do that it might take a little extra time in the field but you'll be all set for getting one quartered out. Makes it nice not have to gut the deer or skin it once you get home too!

    Do you butcher your own deer? If you've taken quarters off of a deer before that's probably the hardest part of it all in my opinion.

    It's amazing what I've learned from hunting out West that has helped us in the East. Packing in and quartering deer on the spot has got to be the most useful. We'll quarter a deer between a few of us and keep hunting with the quarters in our packs in certain cases.
