Upland Forum?

7wt or 8wt fly rod; I have 5wt’s

I have a tfo mangrove 8 wt and am very happy with it. Probably a bit over kill for the purpose you are intending. A 7 is probably a better choice. Also look a echo. Galvan reels are solid.

Alaska travel

I have a trip to Hawaii next month and have called private testing places in So. Cal and everyone is 5-10 days. Hawaii really enforces their quarantine with un announced checks. If you are not following the rules they arrest you. I know Alaska is not as strict as Hawaii.

Onx vs basemap

I have onx chips for my Montana gps and gaia on my phone. If I in an area that had cell service, I just use Gaia. It has the nat geo maps layer that I have found has better detail in some areas.
