Question on packing out just meat

I went to a Kifaru meat bag which gives the deboned meat a more cylindrical shape to it. Makes the deboned meat more like a sand bag shape.

    Lost arrow impales hunter

I remember a story my dad told me about the deer he shot arrow passed thru and landed in the tall grass knock down and another guy in the group was blood trailing and ran the broad head up into his leg just missing the the main artery. Sounded like it was quite the rush to get him out of the...

Offered a transfer to Williston ND?

Downfalls are the cold and 90%+ of the land is privately owned. Just be prepared for that when moving from an area with an abundance of public land.

Offered a transfer to Williston ND?

Williston is not m favorite town in nd by far but the have also added a lot in the last 10 years. Also agree with others comment on Watford City being a better choice. On the bight side if you like the outdoors it is a very good area with close proximity to quality opprotunities. If you like...

Kisser button vs nose vs both

Hand or knuckle on your cheek, string touching tip of nose, and looking straight thru the peep sight without any adjustments gives you 3 solid anchor points. How many more does a person need? Best of luck on whatever direction you choose!

Hunting Stabilizer Setup: The Necessity of a Rear Stabilizer?

For hunting it is not needed. I do use a front and rear bar but this was a carryover from my indoor target setup. Same bars on all 3 bows with quick disconnects. Found out last year shooting indoor paper that an ounce or so on either bar could change the pin float and hold while executing a...

Fixed Pin or Moveable, 1st Time Elk Hunter

So I decided this year to play around with a moveable sight (spot Hogg fast Eddie xl double pin). My other sight is the hoggit 7 pin. I really like the sight picture with a single up pin which is way less clutter. The downfall to that is having to move the sight and on an animal that may me...

Kifaru Stryker w/ camp bag vs bigger bag?

Here is a pic with a Sherman used as a lid. Half a deer in cargo area. It will work but "not preferred" is a good way to put it when you are thinking of 5 days and with plans of being successful.

Kifaru Stryker w/ camp bag vs bigger bag?

I have the regular Stryker and use it a lot for day hunting . Also have used on a 2 day backpacking deer hunt as you described with a dry bag in the cargo area. It worked just fine, but I do find myself looking more towards a larger bag that can compress down.

    Worst song lyric

I agree with the pop country, but five finger death punch? I will have to disagree with that one.

    Total Archery Challenge- Tennessee

I like the idea of shooting for prizes, not sure I’m to excited about an iron rhino, lol. The caribou is a longer poke but I can pick up my arrows and shoot them again if not on the mark! I guess I will just have to hit the spot on first arrow when I see you at terry peak.

    Shot IQ

I took his online course and can definitely recommend it. The way he explains the whole process and helps you to build your own blueprint for your shot is great. His program has helped me a lot in my shooting. I agree it would be awesome to see him in person for a shooting session.
