I have used the Caribou bags for years on elk. They are great and clean up well. I use to use the Alaskan Game Bags, but they were so heavy I would only bring 2 in my pack. I can easily carry 4 or 5 of the synthetic Caribou bags with me.

Do you have preference points for deer? Many of the decent units require 3+ points to draw. I hunt Unit 83 and 5 points is needed to draw a 2nd season buck tag.

I have the Cabela's 1/2hp pro grinder. Have had it close to 15 years now and have put dozens of deer through it plus8-10 elk. As stated previously, even a 1/2hp grinder is hard to keep up with. It grinds as fast as you can out the meat in. At the time, I think it was $275.

My daughter drew a 2nd Rifle season tag for this fall. Should be a blast. Her last tag was in 2010 and she took a 191" brute. We may not be so fortunate this time, but will have fun trying.
