    Alamo builds a solid rifle. I've got a 6.5 prc from them and am very happy. If your gun doesn't shoot .5 moa they will fix it. Give them a call and talk to them if you are concerned.

    Love this thread. I had no clue what it took to get to 300" either. If this bull wouldn't have broken his 5th he would have been ~310", as is he was right at 300". Just like your bull he had short main beams. It's all the more impressive when guys can get it really close on the hoof.

    Thank you everyone. I appreciate the help and advice. Cabela's is my best option for ordering. I've read of a few people hand loading BH209 and then just pulling the bullets or cutting shotgun shells open when they get there. Seems like a reasonable method no different than a loaded bullet...

    I just talked to my guide and he said the deer are way down. Offered my deposit back if I want to turn the tag back. Said haven't seen a deer that would hit 180". Not the news I was hoping to hear. Anyone turned their tag back before in NV? I'm sure it will be a while before I draw again but...
