    WTS Kifaru Sawtooth + liner

Asking $750 for tent, $275 for liner. Free shipping within USA. I will ship internationally at actual shipping cost. I bought this new from Kifaru about 9 month ago. It has never been used except to set it up to see the pitch, and for seam sealing. I have never run a stove in it. The liner is...

Lets Talk Toyota Tacoma Seat Covers

Great info. Will research seat covers. I've got a 2007 Tacoma 4 cyl 4x4. Planning to keep long term, but drivers seat has a tear.

    First stove for backpacking

I've used MSR Pocket Rocket 2 often car camping. Boils water fast enough, but needs wind protection, if you walk away when windy. I have often cooked with it with bone broth, veg broth, or water, to keep other food in pot from burning. I also own a MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe, but piezo ignitor...

    Stove pipe

If you run a 3" stove pipe, be sure to clean the small pipe, and spark arrester, if using, regularly for creosote buildup. I have a Kni-co Trekker stove, with 4" pipe, tapered to 3" at top. I found it to build up creosote faster than expected (causing smoke) around the screening/spark arrester...

    Camp Coffee

Ditto. Grounds in a boiling pot. Light weight. You can also strain with paper filter, mesh, or small stainless steel strainer. For home use, I own a vintage Revere ware drip (non-electric) coffee maker. Same size as a camp percolator, but drip/pour over type. Nice off-grid option.

Lightweight, down, roomy bag or quilt….

I bought a EE Revelation 20 deg down quilt in 2013. Got the wide , short for 5'6" or less. I definitely recommend the wide for winter temps. Helps keep out drafts, and with sleeping pads. I'm 5'3, and wish I'd gotten a 6' quilt. Still a great quilt. Don't skimp on width, length to save weight...

    US wall tent stove options?

For a large tent, and many weeks use, I'd get a warming tray, and probably a water tank, too. A large kettle can substitute for a water tank. I've used a Kni-co trekker stove in a small canvas tent. I skipped the "extras" for space savings. I also own a 4 Dog "2 dog" stove. The warming tray is...

    Heated Sleeping Bag Liner

Ditto on doubling up sleeping bags. I've car camped below zero many times, using 2 bags, lots of clothing layers, wool booties, mittens, etc. My 2 bags are a EE 20 degree down and a 1980's REI winter down (don't no exact rating, probably 20). Many report that hot water bottles work well. I...

    Nu-Way Propane Heaters

I'm considering Nuway as a propane alternative for 8 x 12 off-grid cabin (10' peak) I'm building. The wood stove is a 4Dog Stove's "2 dog". Nuway doesn't seem very efficient. I'll explore other vented options for propane. I wouldn't run wood and propane at same time, but would like both options.

Tarp selection help needed (and a lesson learned)

For cat cut, I recommend MLD Grace Tarp Duo. 11 oz $160 9.5′ x 7.5′ x 9.5′ ( front x rear x ridge length). https://mountainlaureldesigns.com/product/mld-grace-tarp/ Lots of info on Backpacking Light, YT, on cat tarp setup in windy conditions. Site selection important, set narrow end into wind...
