Feeling very blessed to have such a great hunt in Idaho. Hunted 2 weeks straight covered 90 to 100 miles of hiking. Harvested the wolf off an Old logging road.
Are you solo hunting or going in with a group?
Are you staying in the backcountry or hiking back to your truck everyday?
I solo hunt mostly, I keep it within 5-6 miles one way max.

Went the 2nd week of October. The year I went snow didn't hit till the 2nd to last day of my hunt 10 inches over night.
Most animals I saw were middle mountain, alot of side hilling hunting.
Good luck on your hunt.

A lot of them are two-lane dirt roads that turn into single-lane dirt roads you just have to watch out for washed out roads from runoff.
One year I hunted at the Rapid River trailhead North East on Stan Lee Stan Lee. Spent 14 days in that area.

About 20 lbs of gear and water. I say about 70 lbs meat cape and head. I'd guess 90lbs 6 miles out from truck.
I arrived back at truck at 1am.
The pack held up really well for how small it is. I did move up to a mystery ranch selway 60l. Only because I wanted to bring an overnight sleep system...
I like the guidelines but I did swap out to a more robust stakes, just my preference and it only came with 6 stakes.

I usually carry my camp with me while hunting. If I were going to make a base camp I would just use sticks.

You will lose some room with SG bug tent segment of this system. Overall I think it's a great system for my needs. Very fast set up time also.
