    Mystery Ranch 2020

I am curious about what you see as being the benefit of the 38 vs. the 28? Simply more room? I am looking at these two packs and trying to decide between them for a capable day pack. I try not to carry very much as I am getting older...

    Minimalist pack with rifle carry

Anyone attach a portable carport/garage tent to their camper at elk camp?

    Slow Down = Success

If you are used to sitting in a tree and still hunting whitetails likely you need to speed up and cover ground until you find super fresh sign and then slow down and hunt like you would a whitetail. Also if you are a north woods tracker...do that on elk for deadly success.

    Weight Loss Surgery

Depends on the surgery. Gastric sleeve along with keto diet and intermittent fasting has worked for me. I am have kept ~100 lbs off for 5 years doing this. I have no problems staying hydrated.

Is the current administration good or bad for public lands and hunting?

We are 3 years in and I don't see any huge sweeping changes. I think perhaps some of the government agencies may be becoming more practical. Remember forest service was meant to be a land of many uses not just ones own favorite use.

    Montana results soon?

Archery results (900-20 tag) are the only ones out at this time. The rifle results come out in early August I think.
