I built a 6.5 prc with a 20” barrel to hunt suppressed. My suppressor is 7.9” and it’s just a tad longer than my 26” 7mag. It’s nothing to unscrew it if I’m hiking through brush either and need the shorter barrel length.

I have a staccato p and let me tell you it is worth every penny. I love that gun so much. The fit and finish, the shootability and fun factor with that gun is unmatched. It is however expensive as hell, but like you said buy once cry once.
If weights a consideration look at the razor 11-33x50. I typically don’t need too much magnification but it’s so light and packable I always have it with me
