    Eurooptic has these in 3x15 for 500 in MIL and MOA. Are there any more current scopes (Strike Eagle for example) within a hundred bucks of that price that would be better as a hunting scope? Scope will be moved between rimfire and centerfire as needs dictate.

    The Mesa hate is strong. I consider the one I have a upgrade over the Tikka Stock. It doesn't help with recoil in the way a chassis may, but it is very shootable for a lightweight stock. I would say that someone who isn't looking to drop into the weeds on the topic will think it looks cool...

    Well my buddy ended up getting a B14r and Strike Eagle 5x25. It’s a great factory gun and probably the most accurate 22 I’ve shot. After seeing his, I’m on the hunt for a T1x so I can use stocks I already own. Another money pit!

    They sell a small kit that fits easily in a pack. I would upgrade the bits as time and money allows, but its great for mounting scopes and working on other things. I think it was less than 200 bucks.

    Goldilocks 6mm between 6CM and 6UM?

    243 hits 2925 with a "light" load of 39GR H4350 and 22" barrel. Lotta guys say they run as high as 43. That being said anything CM will be the easy button with factory ammo., but the 243 will get there if you don't have a super slow barrel. Brass life is another rabbit hole.

    I was a Savage guy for a long time due to barrel swap ease. Received a Tikka as a gift and its the best gun I've owned. I prefer the accuracy of the Tikka over the Savage and more aftermarket support.

    It is a 2002ish vintage so yes mag box connected to receiver. The complete rifle has a shilen supermatch 1-8 twist 243 barrel and a 4lb factory trigger if anyone is interested in the whole package.

    Hornady Match Vs Reloads

    If it shoots great with factory ammo and you aren't set up to reload right now, I would stick with the factory. 200rds will last a decent time unless you are shooting a box every week. Reloading is fun, but you have to really be into it to get the full benefit.
