Glass or turret? Highest priority?

I just put my first turret scope on my 300. That said, very seldom do I feel there is a real "need" to shoot past 500. If you want to, that's cool and I prefer bowhunting anyways, but if your gonna shoot past 500, your scope is the least of your worries. Better have some nice binos and/or...
