    Rockstar Research with Kevin Monteith

Another great mule deer episode. Coming from a science-y/research background, I really enjoy hearing from the wildlife scientists. SO much better than the typical bar-room biologists.

    Crimson Trace Hardline Pro scopes

Anybody have any experience with these scopes, in particular the 4-16x50 FFP version? It seems to check a lot of boxes: FFP, decent reticle, mil, illuminated, made in Philippines, weight ~25oz. The windage isn't capped, though. I read that CT may have taken over the Nikon factory in the...

wyoming antelope hunt...? no points, non res.

Having OnX, the draw odds, a big sack of gas money, and a willingness to knock on a few doors is a great recipe for pronghorn success.

    Scheels coming to Meridian Idaho

I avoided it today. Went to the BBQ shop nearby for some pellets and it looked nuts. Maybe in a couple weeks…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Initial Ascent Pack for Stout/Husky guys

Yes, I did. It seemed to help a bit but I still was constantly tightening. The foam kit helped more with keeping the bottom of the frame from digging into the small of my back. The K4 belt was the biggest fix but I had also lost a few lbs which helped getting the hip pads into the right place.

Initial Ascent Pack for Stout/Husky guys

I have a similar body as you and had the same experience with the K3 (a lot of people did). I have no experience with IA packs but the K4 pack seemed to alleviate the slippage issue. The first time I rucked with my K4, I kept wanting to tighten the belt (out of habit) but never needed to.

    Hunting Stages?

Depends on a lot of things and it's not a linear track. Take duck hunting for example: one day I'll shoot anything that quacks, another day its green only under 15yds with a 20g.

    BBQ Grills

I use it for grilling with as little startup effort as possible. For the last 15 years years, the gas grill has been used 4-5 times/week on average. I have a pellet grill, as well, for when I'm doing longer cooks. I've used the Kamado/Egg style cookers before and know, without a doubt, that I'm...

    BBQ Grills

I’m going to be in the market for a new grill this spring as my 15 year old Weber Genesis is on its last legs (it has been great as I’ve only replaced the burners in 15 years). I’m looking at Napoleon, Blaze, or maybe another Weber. Anybody have experience with any of these, especially the...

    fish recipes

Not fried, baked, broiled, raw or boiled? That doesn't leave much left. Those fish don't do too well grilled. I have done well making fish tacos with the species you have listed. Just pan fry with a light coating of flour. You could also try some fish cakes but they are a little pit of a PITA...

    Boise meetup 2024

Are we gonna have a secret handshake or something? Or just find the group of disheveled dudes with a bad case of the shack-nasties? I’ll be looking for Randy waving around a rifle stock in a brewery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
