What bullet for Black Bear

How far are you planning on shooting? Are you open to trying other types of ammo than the two you've already got? I find expansion to be a major consideration. Bears have thick hides and absorb blood like a sponge. If you're shooting at a bear at roughly 400-500 yards or less, I'd go with a...

Early vs Late Season Spring Bear Hunting

Good to know. Here in Canada, if you're want a 7ft+ (even 8ft) bear its no secret that you head to Vancouver Island (where Ron C. is based) where there's a ton of salmon bearing rivers. But if you're more interested in a B&C or P&Y 21/22+ inch skull, you head to Saskatchewan

Early vs Late Season Spring Bear Hunting

I like the early spring because the bears are much less wary and completely focused on devouring grass with their heads down, making them easier to stock. Also really like to avoid the madness that the bugs bring come late May/early June. That said, I like the rut too because I see more bears...

Glass experts! If you could only choose one of: Sig Sauer KILO 3000BDX, Leica Geovid R, Vortex Fury, Nikon LazerForce Which would you choose? The only knocks I've found about each are the price tag for the Leica, the Fury doesn't have the best glass, the Sig Sauer don't come with lens caps...
