    mnhoundman- I love these boots! They are fairly stiff, but not uncomfortably so. One thing to consider with Hanwag is they are sized in UK sizes. My boots are UK10 which is US11. Having a narrower foot is probably a plus with these boots. I wear 10 or 10.5 (normal width) in street shoes...
