would this make 6UM brass available to us to buy also?? After spending too much time online trying to find a 6mm cartridge that didn't require fireforming that can still shoot a 6mm 115 grain bullet fast out of a short barrel (20 in) and finding none, the 6UM continues to meet two out of three...
would a 6prc loaded with 570 shooting 115gr bullets out of a 20 in barrel be able to hit 3100 fps MV without pressure signs??
Like the idea of a fast 6; not wanting to fireform brass for a 6UM

Thanks brockel for starting this thread!
I’m also interested in a 6. After reading the 6UM thread, it seems like a great catridge but I don’t want to deal with fire forming brass… Seems like 6prc wouldn’t have that requirement.
Wondering what kind of MV I could get with a 20in barrel shooting...
thanks!!! that’s what I did… found some areas of interest on maps and shared that with him to help him narrow down what to scout boots on the ground.
We are heading out soon for actual hunting, I’ll report back on outcomes.
Some comments I received from ppl that hunted this unit for deer say...
that statement reveals more info about you than anybody else.
it’s a unit I haven’t hunted; a type of landscape I don’t know.
I probably never hunt it for myself either, because I don’t apply for that unit and the draw odds are horrible anyways.

Hi everyone!
A friend of mine drew unit in Idaho for deer. He has no hunting experience whatsoever, so I will go with him to help out with basic hunting knowledge; to mentor him essentially; and teach him how to quarter deer if he get’s one; those kinds of things.
I have a lot of experience...
ok, I think i found a solution:

mounted onto this:

Not sure if the holes will align, but that is an easy fix to add an extra hole...
and for the NECG-Weaver type peep sight you guys are running... I can't find info how to adjust for elevation. do you slide it up and down? doesn't seem to have target knobs like the williams
