I was the only one in my camp to have Sitka, Cloudburst is what I had. All others and guides had Kuiu. After each day, back at camp, all I heard was "I'm drenched, I'm froze from being wet, etc". I was dry, warm and toasty my entire trip...
I was born and raised in Waverly, across the river from there and dove for mussles in the lake. Really can't go wrong there...Ice in the winter mostly, MAYBE 1-2 large snows a year 2"-12"...you'll learn all about tornadoes though....
I have 5 as well. When I started planning, 5 would have been "overkill" for general but I wanted to be sure I'd draw when 24 came. NOW, with the new non-res price hike for the special draw starting, I'm not sure 5 will get it done in the regular draw. I'm sure I'm not the only one that refuses...
I found an old rifle, a 22, while hunting as a kid. Took it home and cleaned it up pretty good. Took it to the land owner's house and he had been hunting, sat it down, and couldn't find it a few years earlier. He let me keep it..
My "guide" last year for opening week of elk archery was the camp cook. He didn't even know how to cow call or anything. Had me walking downwind to a wallow he ws told to take me.....
