Did anyone draw any great tags for Montana this year?? -
6.5 prc reloading
I've been running 47 grains of RL22 ~ 2.954 OAL. It's been shooting between a 1/4 and 1/2 in. 3 shot groups at a 100 yards. -

What is your favorite 6.5 prc 143 Hornady eldx load. -
6.5 PRC - 140, 143, 156
I've had great luck with the 143 eldx on white tails mule deer and elk. Haven't had the chance to test the others -

If the option is the 6.5prc accurately or a 338 lapua that you flinch with every time you shoot your going to kill a lot more animals with the 6.5 just my 2 cents -

I shot an elk at 50 yards through both shoulders and the bullet was lodged under the skin on the far side. This was with a 6.5 prc running right at 3000 fps -
How many arrows do you carry in your quiver Elk hunting?
As many as my quiver holds have never needed more than two but you never know -

It was fairly open country there was plenty of water and there was maybe slightly more snow than normal. We had like 10 people searching and after we grid searched all the logical places close by we just split up and started wondering around so there was a lot of luck involved -
