    7 miles back in is a long way to pack anything more than yourself and gear out.

    Take tire chains. Be prepared to use them. Tow strap or log chain highly recommended as well. Hard to believe how many people drive into that country with out both.

    Once is a good option. If you go with a separate GPS unit it learn it well before you head out.

    We hunt opening weekend of pheasant season and most every year we see several nice bucks and at least one dandy.
