I have listed to a couple podcasts about hunting them. They always mention how tough they are and how often they need to be shot again. 300 WM with a 215 if I ever daw a tag. A good mussel break will tame the kick right out of it, just wear hearing protection!

If this is strictly for long range shooting I would consider the Longshot LR-3. No need for a spoter, no mirage issues, and instant feedback with your shot. Helps tremendously figuring out drop and how your doing with wind calls.

This is a CA 300 wm with Hawkins .885 rings on it. The scope is a NF 4x32 NX8 with a 56mm bell. Not exactly what your doing, but might help you out some?
Enjoy the CA 6.5 PRC! I have one and it shoots almost everything 1/2 MOA. Really easy to tune a load for.
