    I have been using mine for 3 years now. It's large enough to pack 7-10 dys worth of gear and food and expands to pack it all out with your meat. It's a great pack in my opinion.

    I have the J34 and really like it. I have not tried any of the other packs (KUIU or Kifaru) simply because i cant justify the price. I carried out 30lbs of gear and half of my quartered out buck last year, thankfully I had my hunting partner to help with the other half, and the pack performed...

    Not sure about the Renegades, but the Ranger GTX are my go to boots. They have performed very well.

    Iodine. I usually have a good water source within a mile or so. Fill up two bladders when I get to the source and leave one at camp and one in my pack.

    Anyone tried the Golite Pocho Tarp? It's onsale for $45 and claims to be large enough to cover your pack as well. It's light too at 7oz. Plus you can convert it into a shelt if needed.
