Part 2: Some of the draw backs to the area are if the animals leave early for their wintering grounds your B,C, and D spots are gonna be a bit aways. Depending on how far you plan to go you you'll see plenty of people in that 2 to 3 mile range. Beyond that you're gonna be ok as far as pressure but the pack outs can be tough from Sheridan as well so be prepared. If you need anything hunting related your best place is Goods for the Woods in Durango. If you just need a good nights sleep and a shower I suggest Pine River lodge on Vallecito Resv. Debbie, Dawn, or Donna will take good care of you. Groceries are limited but Bayfield is the nearest but Durango is the only place you'll find dehydrated meals and camping stuff. Good luck and let me know if you need any further help with a B,C,D plan.
Hey, thanks for your help! The first place I'm looking is in area 75, north of Lemon Reservoir on forest road 597 where it splits and becomes a no name road, link below. I was going to park there and go straight North, breaking right to follow the north facing slope across the backside of Endlich Mesa towards Sheridan mountain. What do you know about that area?
