New boots just arrived!!!

My Schnee's beartooth ll arrived over the weekend. I normally wear a 10 1/2 wide in most of my boots/shoes. I went with the recommendation of sizing up 1/2 size for toe room when going downhill. Question is, how much toe room should I have? Wearing a mid weight wool sock I have 1/2-3/4 inch...
