I saw this sign posted on a gate in an otc elk unit. It’s a piece of printer paper, laminated and duct taped to the gate. All other signs were wooden or metal. What really gets me is the fine print and the typos. Tail cameras in use…… I thought violators should be prosecuted not persecuted...
I strictly use the Born and Raised edition game bags. They give me that extra edge. Just kidding. I’d rather use a grocery bag. Just kidding. Ovis sacks for me.
Yes, you will be fine without the stove and the chair. If you don’t plan on using glass (spotting scope) as your main source of locating elk I would also ditch the glassing pillow but that’s just me. Do you have a med kit in your Possibles Pouch
There is the age old debate about mech vs fixed. We’ve all beat that into the ground. A different idea I was pondering was the trends of those who seem to be shooting mechanical heads. No need to drop names from the industry but i can’t help but notice that a lot of these guys that have a target...

I’ve never had to do it but this should be your ticket. Im sure there are some others on this site that have already done this and could chime in. Best of luck.
No recommendations for cheap game bags. I don’t skimp in this department. I’ve worked my tail off to get an elk on the dirt now I want to make sure I have the best bags to let the meat properly cool off without bugs being an issue.
I would be able to cut 3 inches off of my current arrow. They stick out pretty far. I should have stated that but that was my main reasoning behind this all knowing that I had so much excess arrow
I’m not necessarily looking to increase my foc by anything crazy. I would shoot same points and same vanes I guess my main thing would be to have more of an increase in my speed to balance speed and weight. Am I overthinking this all?
I am in the process of tinkering with my arrow setup to try and increase my foc. I am currently shooting a 300 spine FMJ @28.75” long with a 125 grain tip pulling 70 lbs with a total weight of 513 grains and a foc of 10%.
Is it counter productive to cut down a FMJ just past the rest to...
Bringing this thread back because I cannot find what I’m looking for...
Is there a minimum number of people that has to be in the group to draw? It would be me and a buddy. I haven’t been able to find a clear answer but that doesn’t mean I’m overlooking something. Thanks
