New vs. Fire-formed brass - load development

Agreed. I would reccomend a barrel break in procedure prior to a load development or ladder test. As you break the barrel in it helps polish the barrel, removes blems, and smooths out the rifling which will imcrease velocities once the barrel is good.

    Antelope bullet

Ive had extremely good luck with accubonds. Nosler balistic tips tend to blow up if you hit a bone from my 270. Barnes ttsx would be my second choice

I agree. Was tough and tasted terrible. Prefer skunk over coon anyday.

    Vmax or Nossler Ballistic .224?

Ive used both vmax and bt in 22 250 and 223 for varmints and coyotes. I had issues with vmax blowing up on impact and not penetrating to get a clean kill on coyotes. I now use a 50 gr bt for coyotes and the vmax on prairie dogs with great results.

    Rifle for coyotes

A good inexpensive option is a ruger american. Can even get one that takes pmags for extra rounds if your state allows. Good shooting rifles for the money
