If I was a nonresident and I wanted to hunt this fall…I’d do any caribou hunt I could do from the road. Just remember if they ain’t there, they ain’t there. They rarely stop moving. So just because they were there yesterday, doesn’t mean they will be that afternoon.
Handguns are restricted and some are not allowed. I crossed with a 5” red hawk a few years ago. Just go to the Canadian website. Not just Rokslide. There are answers from the official Canadian authorities.
I live in the Alaskan bush and my kids are all bush children. No way would I bring my 8 or even 10 year old on that long of a hunt. I’ll be experimenting with a 5 day trip this fall with them. They’ve done 3 days but the boredom sets in for them.
