T-minus 9 days and counting before heading to Mackenzie Mountain Outfitters for a moose and caribou hunt and time has slowed to a crawl. Any last minute recommendations for gear or items that are not needed!!

Man, I thought days were going slow waiting for my pronghorn hunt. I can't imagine the torture you're going through waiting on a trip like that!
I'll be feeling that pain come 2020 when Dad, my uncle and I wait to head out!

Good luck! Can't wait to hear the stories!

Yes, be sure to take some very warm mid layers. I was up there from Aug 28 to Sep 8 and the outfitter said they had never had so much cold and snow so early. I focused on everything being ultralight and left a couple of key pieces of of mid layers that I normally wear during whitetail season at home because I thought they would be too heavy/hot up there....boy was I wrong.

Also, take a small 3x5 notebook and a pen, and keep a journal every night before you go to bed.

Good luck!
