Lots of 22-23" 3/4 points. Lots. Lots. Rut kicked in to gear tonight. I saw 2 giants this afternoon chasing does. Too far. Buddy who tagged out on a small buck 2 days ago stared at 2 whoppers at 100 yards at 4pm after he dropped me off. Dummy. Next 2 days will be magic. I'm stoked

Awesome. I hope you get one of those whoppers! Would you be willing to share any tips or area suggestions where to find some of those 22" 4 point type deer? The best I've seen so far is an 18" 3 pt. I've hunted mostly in 681 at the northern end of poison dry loop between 9-9.5k ft. I've been hiking up to vantage points and doing a lot of glassing. I'm seeing some large groups of does but no bucks around with them.

Most deer around 8400' in 68. BLM.
Haven't found much up high.

We road hunted. Found a bunch of forky horns only. My knee swelled up last night

Shit man. Sorry to hear that. I saw about 70 deer this morning in 681 including about 40 together but all does except 2 tiny bucks. Trying out your suggested BLM area tonight.

I put 9 miles on yesterday. Like an idiot. I'm 55 with 5 surgeries on right knee. Did my normal hunt in morning (4 mile loop) then got back to camp and buddy had a dead buck 1.5 in. Had to pack meat. Then in evening did over a 2 mile loop. I'm screwed hiking now. Oh well. Seeing a bunch from truck although I hate it!!

I saw biggest buck so far this afternoon. Mature 2 point with eye guards probably 24” wide but I just couldn’t do it. Was in BLM west of Tracy Canyon. Hopefully can find a bigger one tomorrow.
