Anyone tried R26 in a 300 RUM?

Have not tried R26, but I use 90grs H4831 in my 340 Weatherby Mag pushing 225 Hornadys with good results

RL26 has been great for me in a couple of different cartridges.

I tried it when it first came out before there was any data the word was that it was slower than RL 25 I am glad that I used caution because I found pressure at least a couple of grains below the max RL 25 data I cant find any chronograph data from then but I have some nice groups on some targets I for whatever reason switched to retumbo my barrel seems to really shine with it

Buddy of mine has used it under 181 grain monos. Gets up to 3400 fps. I can do the same with RL-25. mtmuley

Retumbo is the only one I have tried. 92 grains with a 210 vld. 3050 FPS. 1:10 Lilja 27". It's a cannon.

Looking back through Josh Boyd's Cooper Open Country Long Range thread I saw where he had a load worked up for the RUM with RL26. Might wanna see what his was.

ybps that is almost exactly the same load I have with 200gr nosler partitions 26" 1-12 twist & it shoots really small three shot groups consistently

I tried it once out of curiosity in my 32" full custom, long throated 300RUM using 230's. It pressured out much earlier than RL33. At least in my chamber and with my barrel length is was a poor match. RL33 was definitely the right powder.
