Flatlander whitetail guy trying to learn west stuff

I'm new to rokslide but already know the site is awesome. Have been pretty successful hunting deer in Illinois and ready to expand to the western states. I have a mule deer hunt planned for WY near Sundance and just trying to pick up on how to find the big boys. I've hunted farm land, marshes, and big timber in the Midwest but don't have a clue when it comes to mountains. Bought the book by Rob D. On how to kill the biggest buck of your life this week and ready to start learning! Any help is much appreciated. I don't mind hard work, scouting for long hours, sitting on a stand, Google earth, or walking the miles. It will be hard for me being multiple hours away and showing up the week I hunt, but I'm down for the challenge and look forward to it.
