Hi guys, I keep researching mule deer hunts and gear and coming to this site. I am probably twice the age of most members but I am still out there givin it all I got. Just finished a Colorado 55 muzzle hunt in September, never pulled the trigger, saw 150 plus bucks, 4 in the 190s, but I was looking for a 200 plus or old giant. I came out this year with 14 points as the hunt starts 6 days later next year. Fwiw I had a giant located but an elite archer took him before I had chance. Unit not what it was, but this was second year past a die off and permit cut back. Great hunt, lots of backpack areas and saw goats moose sheep along with all the deer. I shoot a 45 custom muzzleloader with the Hankins ignition system, carbon barrel, Lyman 93 front globe site and Sako rear rifle site with two positions for holdover.
