I feel really bad for the guys that were improperly told they drew a tag when they actually didn’t. This isn’t the first state that has done this either! It has got to be the biggest kick in the guts. They need to get their QC down before notifications are sent out. Not hard to count to 9!
Well I finally drew my ewe tag after I switched from applying in 482 to 680! My buddy has an archery elk tags for a portion of the unit, we both have general deer tags, and I have a ewe tag! We are planning on a 9 day float trip from the stafford ferry to James kipp. I talked to the biologist...
Oregon FNAWS has a goat/grizzly
Montana WSF has a fannin sheep
California WSF has a stone sheep
Texas bighorn sheep society has a desert sheep
Rocky Moutain Bighorn Sheep society has their bighorn and mtn goat raffle
FYI Ultima Thule has about a 70 person waitlist. As others have said Aaron Bloomquist is great, Jeremy Reusink with Rogue expeditions is great, Wayne Kubat with Alaska Remote Guide Service has a great sole use concession like Ultima
Thule and Aaron Bloomquist has. I went with Wayne. coke...
For those of you not attending virtual sheep week make sure you check out the state chapters raffles. There are some great sheep hunts being raffles off for $100 a ticket with most being limited to 500-600 tickets. Idaho WSF is doing an Ultima Thule Dall sheep hunt this year with 600 tickets...
Good luck in the draw. Ewe tags are seeing point creep it seems like! I’ve been applying in 482 and and up to 6 points without drawing! Might be jumping to the north side of the river this year. Maybe I’ll see you out there this year!
No there are no limits for any of the raffles. As of yesterday morning there were less than 100 sold for the kryptek package and less than 100 sold for the lynx. Around 200 sold for the aoudad so pretty phenomenal odds. I don’t have a count on the state wide raffle tag.
