Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

Yes! Struggled a bit the last 3 years also but always got it figured out, even swapped limbs from one bow to another and changed strings last year with no major problems after I shimmed the cams. This year the string change is driving me crazy! Will post up again tomorrow with an update.

Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

Moved cable rest maybe 1/8" around clockwise to get a little more clearance and then moved rest right a bit. One thing I did find form-wise is that I was rotating my hand a little too much and the d-loop was catching the release jaw on the way out. Switching to a silverback removed most of the...

Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

PSE recommends lining the shaft up with the riser in the booklet that came with my bow. That's the only reason I even looked at that. As far as spine I shot this setup last year at the same DW and DL and it tuned fine. Not to say that I shouldn't look at that too, but it wasn't the first...

Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

One twist in left yoke and dropping the rest got me pretty close. Need to shoot outside tomorrow. I am getting the occasional bad tear so I’ll pay attention to grip and facial pressure. Guessing rotation of release hand may be the culprit too so I’ll play with my tension release too (currently...

Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

Last year I had a left tear issue that wouldn’t go away til I shimmed the cams. I can’t shim them any farther left though this year.

Tuning Driving Me Crazy - PSE EVL 34

Summary - Struggling with tuning so here's a quick summary of what I've done so far with a few pics. Looking for any other suggestions to try! About a month ago I replaced the strings on my EVL 34 w/ EC cam. 30.5" Draw at 69lbs, 85% letoff, 300 spine axis w/ 100gr point, 50gr HIT, and 10gr...

    Lunch on the Mountain

I will usually buy a few of the giant sandwiches at the grocery store too and use them the first three days. Easy for a few lunches and even a big dinner if I don’t feel like cooking. Finding a local deli is an even better idea though. I will check it out next time

    Lunch on the Mountain

I'd starve hunting with most of you guys. I usually buy a pizza the night before the hunt and will eat a slice for breakfast every day. Lunch is usually two sandwiches. One meat/cheese, etc. The other sometimes just a PB&J. Also carry a granola bar of some sort and trail mix. Sometimes...

Boots Great One Year but Blisters the Next?

Tried em with some different socks a few days ago and better but definitely still a rubbing that didn't use to be there. I liked the boots because they were pretty forgiving and even if I didn't lace them perfectly they would still fit. They are 11.5 Regular width. Today I did 3 miles with...

Sold Small No-Mag Enclosed RG Marsupial Bino Harness

I went back to the magnetic closure as I keep my handheld release in the side pocket. Bought this new in October last year and used on 1 elk hunt and then a few mornings of turkey hunting this spring. The straps will be brand new and are from the new harness I bought to replace this one...

WTB Newer, enclosed, magnetic, size small marsupial bino harness

I have a small enclosed one in RG. I went back to the magnets because I store a release in the side pocket. I will list it after my new one arrives (which should be in a day or two).

Boots Great One Year but Blisters the Next?

These liners were from 2019 I think. I don't wear a liner sock. I tried them before but it seemed like they made my feet slip significantly more. Any tips on em?

Boots Great One Year but Blisters the Next?

Going on my 3rd season with a pair of Crispi Colorado's. I wear them a lot during the season but only 1x per week leading up to it during training hikes, etc. Never had an issue with blisters the past 2 years. This year 2 weeks ago I threw em on and went for a walk around the block (4 miles)...

    Swaro SLC 10x42

I had both. The glass is superb in both but the Kowas are BIG compared to the SLCs... I sometimes consider going back but haven't so far. If you don't mind the bulk and extra weight most would be happy with the Kowa's though.
