Congrats to everyone! Here is my CO bull this year, my best in CO (hopefully so far). Killed him on day 7 of my hunt. Was able to sneak up on him raking at the edge of the meadow.
I use one as a ground sheet, and it's worked great. I think the foam material they use is waterproof. I haven't used it in super wet conditions, but I have used it on top of muddy ground and wet grass. Never had any issues with water coming through it.
Agreed with above. It is hard to beat the Slik CF-634 for what you are describing. Good tripod for the weight and cost.
The Promaster XC525 is another good option, but the leg height isn't quite as tall as the Slik 634. It might be a little short for what you are needing
