Hunts can be found for 12k in BC. They are expensive but well worth it. It's a hunt everyone should experience. The scenery is spectacular. I booked my goat hunt when I was 24 years old for a hunt 3 years out working a very blue collar job. Set up a seperate account and transfer miney each...
Weird. I have done 6 international trips and have never once had to supply a contract. Canada. Africa. New Zealand and have never been asked once. I have a hunt this Oct in Newfoundland that I don't have a contract for. Not a big deal to me I have all the emails. Guess it just is who the customs...
Can't help with an ox but have done several hunts in BC and Ontario and both were just simple US customs forms the outfitter supplied. Good luck on the hunt. That's a bucket list adventure! Post a hunt recap

I'm sure you will have a great hunt. Those animals are beautiful and the whole country is a beautiful place. Enjoy every minute of it

When I went all the guys prior to me did the helicopter assist hunt as described above. Just essentially find a bull. Drop off the hunter and the hunter shoots it and your head back. It was so much more enjoyable hiking those mountains and sleeping up there. The views are incredible.

I had several talks with him prior to me booking my new zealand hunt. We ended up going with a different outfitter. Jim seemed like a great person and very personable. His tahr hunts are on private land and don't utilize a helicopter to get you into the area which is nice to not have to pay...
I would think a travel insurance plan would be wise. My wife studied abroad in Ecuador about 10 years ago. She did travel to the galapagos Islands for some time there. It was when her parents and brother came to visit. She said she thought rhen she just got a phone and plan when she was in...
Would also be interested. I have a moose hunt in NL this Oct and NBR caribou hunt late August 2026. I'm looking at the freestone wade pants and boots for a pant option and bring my hikers with gaiters as backup

Those costs look spot on. Your getting euros done there and paying that fee which doesnt look too bad. They can't split the skull cap of the stag so your crate will be double the size. I just paid $1000 to ship a split stag and tahr to Chicago. Paid 250 for crate and 250 each per animal. That's...
Go with Jake Jefferson alaskas black river hunting camps. It's not a transport or boat based hunt. It's a take a beaver and get dropped and tent it with the big bears. You won't find a better hard working honest guy. Great stories and great food while tenting it. It's a great hunt

I have not bought a supressor through them but did have them cut and thread a barrel. Communication was great. Was complete very quick and they did a great job.

No idea. This was my third bear hunt attempt in Canada with the previous 2 being unsuccessful (killed 2 in WI prior). The first one I wasn't picky at all since I had 2 tags. Probably close to 120 lber. Second was a toad. Never weighed him but it took the two of us everything we had to drag him...
I have had 2 good hunts with Beaverfoot Outfitting in SE BC. Beautiful scenery and good bear populations. First hunt was for goats and killed a nice billy on day 1 of the hunt. Second was spring bears and killed 2 bears and a wolf in 2 days.

Thanks! Ya it's always tricky picking the right one. Just go with your gut feeling and it will work out. I'm right in Sherwood so we can't be too far apart

I have also hunted goats and was successful on day 1 with a 9 inch Billy but it was in SE BC. A few years ago jake had posted about a last minute griz hunt. I tried to get my dad to go do it as I had just gotten back from a BC bear hunt. He wasn't able and jake hunted himself shooting a nice...
