Seems like a bad idea. I’ve done a 5 and 9 day fast recently and definitely did not feel like I had the energy for a mountain hunt. I want to enjoy my hunt and fasting would kill my morale.

Increase cadence to 180. Use a metronome. This will shorten your stride and help you land with your foot under your body.

Thanks for the replies. You confirmed what I was thinking. I’m going to go with the 30x.
I’ll be using it to find game. I don’t need to field judge anything.

I'll be mule deer hunting in unit 86. High country. What eyepiece do you recommend for the TSN-601? I'm leaning toward the 30x wide angle over the 20-60.
I'll call Doug on Monday to order and ask his opinion also.
I had the same experience as 87TT.
I do like that the target is big so that I'm not worried about losing arrows, but its heavy. And I'm blowing through modules pretty fast. I emailed matrix and they said it was designed to last about as long as the Rhinehart.
A new string and cables are going to stretch. After 150 shots they should be stretched. You can set it up before that, but know that you should double check everything around that 150 shot mark. You will likely need to put cams back in sync and probably straighten your peep sight. Then check...

My guess was that they meant to come back to get them but couldn’t find them or decided they were too tired and not worth it.
I have coordinates if anybody is claiming them.

I’ve had success finding elk the last few seasons but always in heavy timber on a steep slope. Usually near a bench. I’ve heard elk like aspen groves but I’ve never had any luck finding elk in them. Do you usually find elk in aspens or heavy timber?
I could be off but pretty sure in episode 569 he said that he prefers to sneak in without them knowing he is there to shoot them in their bed. Have heard him say a few times his favorite time to kill one is midday in their bed.
I’ve tried Corey Jacobson’s Method twice and both times I screwed...
Specifically for archery season.
Cory Jacobson - Bugle bugle bugle, get close cow call, then bugle back over the top. (Born and Raised do this too I think)
Joel Turner - Bull calling cow bugle
Gritty Bowman - Says he likes to spot and stalk or trail them and kill them in their bed.
Chris Roe -...
Get a lacross or golf ball and massage the area above and below the elbow. Put the ball between your arm and the wall and lean into it if needed. Also stretch the area and ice it 20 minutes twice a day.
Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking for something to pack in for September Elk & Mule deer.
Both can be pitched without the interior vestibule.
Similar size.
Fast setup.
Similar price.
Tarptent Moment DW -
- 34oz with the interior.
- I'm guessing about 25oz without the...
