Just ordered me a pair of Hanwag Alverstone II GTX. Seem to be very similar to the Scarpa R-Evolutions with a little more flex according to what the customer service rep told me. I'll post up some initial thoughts on them when I get them. -

Let's see your elk pack!
First elk hunt with an Eberlestock JP9 and spike duffle. Pack worked great for camp and gear along with converting to a day pack but wasn't fortunate enough to try pack an elk out with it.
