    Evolution Outdoors Jekyll & Hyde

Have never had one not open up completely. I have shot them with bows at 30” and 60-70# with arrow weights from 550 grains to 400 grains and the results have been the same.

    Evolution Outdoors Jekyll & Hyde

Have killed well over 30 deer and hogs with these heads. Entrance wounds are not full diameter but they are far more than the closed cutting diameter. Typically full diameter all the way through the vitals. Have never had a deflection and have never broken or lost a blade in game. As a...

    Grim Reaper Mini Mag

Don’t sell Sevr short. They suck just as much if not more if you hit something hard on entry like a rib as you can see from the video.

    Grim Reaper Mini Mag

Or watch the Sevr close shut and make a 1” hole as it goes through the MDF and as Lusk admits have to pry the blades apart.

Good broadhead vid, and why Heat vanes suck

Seems like more evidence that your bow needs to be tuned, not just shot through paper (which Chris says his bow was not tuned) rather than an indictment of Heat Vanes.

    2023 Elite Omnia Flagship Bow

Draw cycle is meaningless if you do not take into account the speed that draw cycle will launch a given arrow. Unless the most important factor is what draw weight sticker is on the bow. I’m not concerned about speed and I also want a comfortable draw cycle but I don’t search for the easiest...

    2023 Elite Omnia Flagship Bow

It would be interesting to see which draw cycle you prefer if you set all three bows up to shoot a given arrow at the same speed. A slower bow is usually easier to draw. You could run the Omnia at 5# less draw weight and get the same speed as the Hoyt.

    Elite omnia issues

Several have reported cables rubbing the cam after using the SET to tune on the Omnia. The fix for that is shimming or in some cases swapping limbs from one side to the other as a number of the bows left the factory with the limbs installed in the wrong position. Once fixed no other issues...

    Hyde Broadhead

I’ve used them in a bunch on hogs and deer. No failure, quick kills, good blood trails and wound channels. Decent sized entry hole and larger exit. No pivoting blades that end up in a closed position after contact with bone. May need to replace a mechanical blades after use but the ferrule...

    Broadhead tuning

If BH hit high, lower rest. If BH hits left, move rest left. Most recommend getting the vertical correct first, then fix right/left

AAE Max Stealth Vanes with EZ Fletch Mini Max jig?

We shot some the other day, one with the mini max helical and one with 3* offset. Had two guys safely down range. They both said the helical was noticeably louder, repeated a few time alternating which went first. Same result each time.

Since you found the arrow did you happen to look at the nock and see if it broke?

Do any of you use Lighted Nocks?

Be careful with the G series Nockturnal nocks. A number of reports in the past about G series nock failures at the shot which can cause real problems. Hopefully they have fixed that by now but seeing the loose fitting report above is a reason to be careful.

Do any of you use Lighted Nocks?

I use Firenocks with Easton Pro Comps, BE X-Impacts and other .166 arrows. They work and are dependable. Batteries will last a season. Tried several other cheaper options and they were not dependable. The Nock itself is very much worth using even if you decide not to go lighted. They are...
