    KIFARU ARK FRAME review

keep the frame and see if you can put a different belt and shoulder straps on it. That is my plan in case it does not fit me well -- I'm after the frame not the belt.

    KIFARU ARK FRAME review

I travel with my SO Revolution (at 24 inches), planes and all. But I'd like something smaller and I do not want to cut the frame.

    KIFARU ARK FRAME review

Does anyone have a side by side of the 22 inch vs the 25 inches? I am looking for a 'small' travel backpack, and I am insane and can only use external frame hunting backpacks (you know, in case a war breaks out and I am stuck somewhere weird, at least my backpack would be able to deal with some...

any image of the carbon fibre frame without anything attached to (no belt, no shoulder straps)?

    Swarovski 17-40 ATC

I just saw this -- it is possible it is you not the scope. I NEVER have any issue looking through any bino, and I always have to find the sweet spot for I place my eye with scopes. Unless my eye is *perfectly* aligned with the scope the view I get is foggy and smudgy. Wide angle oculars (like...

    Swaro ATC vs ATS

I had the 65mm, now I own the 80mm and the STC. They are different for different uses. In terms of use the 65 is far closer to the 80 than the STC (which is miles more portable, and you can get away with leaning against a tree to use at 40x, and you should be able to use it at 17x in your hand...

Swarovski ATC vs. ATS vs. Kowa 553…Updated 4/26/23!

I am willing to bet the Kowa 554 is optically as good or better than then Swaro STC (and it is 18% lighter), but the field of view of the Kowa is 35% smaller on the wide end, and 22% smaller at the narrow end, and I just cannot abide the tunnel effect, so I got the Swaro.

    Chest packs

Hill People Gear heavy recon with the bino pouch. Comfortable. Can put a lot in. You need to rig a decent retention for the binos though.

Reccomendations for a versatile and lightweight spotting scope

Higher light transmission compared to the swaro. Light is where its at with optics.

Reccomendations for a versatile and lightweight spotting scope

If you want to consider a collapsible scope go for the Meopta, not the CTC or others (I have an Optolith, which is nice but really slow to focus).

Reccomendations for a versatile and lightweight spotting scope

I assume you start at dawn and move it from there, so you get more light as thing go, which helps. On that kind of terrain (Monterenzio) a few years ago I was spotting a female red deer + her fawn at about 1450 metres away at dusk, with the 80mm swaro on a tripod and that was not a super clear...

    A do it all backpack.

Get an external frame pack, and different bags for different use. I have a Seek Outside revolution frame and a few bags, and all my uses are covered (including EDC).

    Versatile 1 - 7 day pack?

I have a Seek Outside, and I am very happy. I have a revolution frame and a couple of bags, and I swap the bag depending on how much volume I need. If had to buy from 0 with limited budget I would buy the SO frame and a LARGE bag. A well designed bag can be compressed for those occasions...

    Best of Both Worlds

I use a Seek Outside revolutiion frame for everything (EDC included). I swap bags depending on use. I would not touch a 'backpacking' pack with a ten foot pole.

Seek Outside: Integrated Vs. Breakaway Frame

I have breakaway SO and you will have to take it from my cold, dead hands. I would never consider an non breakway frame ever again. I have done extensive fieldwork as a freshwater biologist and being able to plonk tons of wet and slimy gear between frame and bag was a major plus. I also...

    Seek Outside 2022 Pack Updates

In all these discussion about new materials for the bags I just realised it might be interesting to know what is the fabric used for the frame encasement? Are you still using cordura for that? I always felt that a fabric that does not absorb blood might be a win because the actual frame...

    Seek Outside 2022 Pack Updates

First off congrats to SO for its continuous growth and move to innovative designs and materials. I have some packs from you that I doubt will ever wear out (XPac 1000D and 42D) realistically, but it's good to know I can always upgrade to something better. I think you might want to look into...
