Like others said, watch some white bone creations videos. You get the skull as clean as you can, then boil for about 30 minutes, pressure wash, and repeat. Put the peroxide gel on for a couple days, and it comes out perfect. Mop and glow after it drys, and you are set.
I used the Banks last year for the first time. Seemed to work well. As someone suggested above to do something for the critters, raccoons and squirrels. Other than that seemed to hold up well, no issues.

Sounds like your buddy is trying to save the spot from getting overrun by other hunters. I don't lie about hunting or fishing spots, just don't be specific. It you shoot a monster and tell everyone where you shot it, it will get crowded for sure.

I had the same thing happen to me. Even with does, I would freak out and forget the peep site, or forget something. Fortunately for me, I missed those shots too. Now I gotta slow myself down, go through a sequence before I even put my finger on the release.
